and not a single 20 page research paper.
i have some vivid memories from my freshman year, when i was waiting to get into the photo program and just trying to get as many general ed. classes under my belt as possible, looking forward to the day when my class schedule would be filled with photo and art classes.
and now that time has come.
i don’t mean to be overly dramatic here, but this is a big moment for me.
i’m totally done with all of my generals
and i only need two more anthropology classes to get my minor (which i’m putting off until next year)
i’m thrilled about my schedule this semester:
-alternative photographic processes
-business practices for photographers
-editorial photography
-bookbinding
-framing
what more could a girl ask for?
it’s going to be hard work, but its going to be work i enjoy.

as i mentioned, i had the pleasure of spending christmas in st. george with my husbands family.
this provided me with the long awaited opportunity to photograph our newest niece: sophia. and photograph her i did. she was a great little model. anyway, these are all from christmas day with the fam.
for 2009 i’ve decided (at the urging of photojojo) to make a new years photo resolution:
i will take a picture every day.
i think this project will help me to open my eyes more and to see the beauty in the ordinary things around me.
i’ve created a blog to post my daily photos, and will do my best to update as often as possible. there will also be a link in the sidebar.
so here’s to 2009 and to taking photos daily.
happy new year, enjoy!

there’s no place like st. georgeingtonD.C.tréal for the holidays
the past two weeks have been something of a whirlwind.
here’s a quick overview with a promise of lengthier posts to come:
fun hanging out with family and playing with the babies
then we jetted off to D.C. where i managed to juggle my bouquet and
camera as the bridesmaid/photographer for my friend linda’s wedding…

finally we headed to montréal to visit my dad for new years,
where instead of braving the below zero weather and the windchill,
andy and i mostly stayed inside trying to battle the massive colds we caught(probably on one of our flights)
although we had fun, i must say there’s no place like home after holidays like that.
