Bridal Sessions

Your bridal or formal session is a chance to put on your wedding clothes, get into the headspace of the day, and have a completely unhurried shoot with no guests waiting and no timeline to keep. It's one of the best ways to make sure you walk into your wedding day already feeling confident and ready.

Though a bridal session can of course feature just you, many of my brides bring their partner along. Honestly, this makes for some of the most beautiful portraits I shoot. We can do this in the most epic locations in the perfect light, which might not be doable on the wedding day. Pulling all of this off before the wedding means you can just enjoy the party when it comes.

Choosing a Location

Utah's variety works in your favor here. Mountain backdrops, canyon trails, city architecture, formal gardens – the setting can reflect exactly the feeling you want your photos to have. Once you reach out I'll ask a few questions and put together location ideas that fit your vision and the time of year.

The Trial Run

Your bridal session is a great opportunity to do a hair and makeup trial in a real setting. Coordinate with your stylist so you can see how everything photographs and make any adjustments before the wedding. If you want to include a bouquet, your florist can usually put something together for the shoot – but flowers aren't required.
